Past court cases in Singapore and Malaysia

2017: In "100 residents of Bertam Valley affected by the Flood Event of 23 October 2013 v Tenaga Nasional Berhad", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an opinion on the cause of the Flood Event.

2017: In "ANS Development Sdn. Bhd. v Tenaga Nasional Berhad", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the cause of fire in a poultry farm.

2016: In "Hi Power Pte. Ltd. v ABB Pte. Ltd.", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the cause of voltage rise in a 400-kV Substation.

2015: In "Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad v Tenaga Nasional Berhad", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the origin and cause of fire in a 132-kV cable tunnel under the Penang Bridge. Dr Tan attended the High Court in Kuala Lumpur as an expert witness.

2015: In "Goh Guan Cheong (Wu Yuanchang) and Teo Yau Lai (Zhang Rouli) v Gain City Best-Electric Pte. Ltd.", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the origin and cause of fire in an apartment. Dr Tan attended the District Court in Singapore as an expert witness.

2014: In "Southern Steel Berhad v Tenaga Nasional Berhad & UEM Construction Sdn Bhd", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the cause of failure of 132-kV cables buried in soil. Dr Tan attended the High Court in Kuala Lumpur as an expert witness.

2014: In "Hotel Royal @ Queens (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (trading as Hotel Royal @ Queens) v J. M. Pang & Seah (Pte.) Ltd.", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was the expert witness engaged to give an expert opinion on the cause of failure of a 22-kV switchgear in a switchroom. Dr Tan attended the High Court in Singapore as an expert witness.

2012: In "Sun Qi (formerly trading as Power King International and another v Syscon Pte Ltd", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the cause of failure of overhead travelling cranes. Dr Tan attended the High Court in Singapore as an expert witness.

2010: In "Malaysia Steel Works v Sun Alliance", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the cause of failure of a three-winding 80-MVA 132/33/11 kV oil-immersed transformer in steel plant. Dr Tan attended the High Court in Kuala Lumpur as an expert witness.

2010: In "M+W Zander (S) Pte. Ltd. v Kurihara Kogyo Co. Ltd. & Sneider Electric Singapore Pte. Ltd. and others", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the compliance of local and international standards of a low-voltage switchboard and protection systems of an electric circuit containing a power distribution transformer in a manufacturing plant.

2003: In "RDC Realty Pte. Ltd. v Pang Ah Fat and Ong Siew Guat", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged for the purposes of addressing various allegations of electrical defects, which were claimed to have caused electrical trippings, in a three-storey terrace house.

2002: In "LNG/C "Hoegh Galleon" v Sembawang Shipyard Pte. Ltd.", Er. Dr. Tan Yoke Lin of Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on electrical engineering matters after a fire broke out on board the vessel "Hoegh Galleon".

Ltd. was engaged to give an expert opinion on the comparison between two processes with differing operating parameters, such as solder temperature setting and conveyor belt speed, used in the wave-soldering of the printed-circuit board.
